The
Wine and Culture Quest
Experience the land, the people....and their wines
Join us on this intimate 15 day wine tour. Bask in the inspiring beauty of this
incredibly scenic country, its friendly, pampering hospitality, and, of course,
the tantalizing beauty and tastes of its vineyards as you embark on an
exclusive, in-depth, delicious taste discovery.
Our journey will begin in Auckland and takes in the picturesque vineyards of
Waiheke Island. Enroute to Wellington, we will savour the delightful region of
Hawkes's Bay. From here we will take the scenic Interisland ferry through the
Marlborough Sounds and the Cook Strait to the South Island. Visits here will
take us to the celebrated vineyards of the Marlborough, Nelson and the
Canterbury regions.
We will talk to the owners and winemakers and we will lunch with them
"under the vines"; we will tour wineries and sip and learn about
Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and other specialities of each region. We will dine
at some of the country's renowned restaurants and pair the finest of New
Zealand wines with gourmet delights.
The vineyards we sample have been hand picked and include; Cloudy Bay,
Corbans, Alpha Domus, Cellier Le Brun, Ata Rangi, Siefrieds, Esk Valley and
Vidal.
Along the way we will feast on the breathtaking scenery, partake in numerous
activities, such as, a glorious ferry trip allowing you to view Auckland from
the harbour, stunning nature walks, a Maori cultural experience, a visit to
Rotorura's mud pools and geysers, kayaking, visits to art deco towns and
artists communities and museums, each, part of New Zealand's charm.
Your accommodation will be luxury, ensuite rooms in Bed & Breakfasts,
Historic Homesteads or Vineyard Villas.
